Socks for Seniors

The "Socks for Seniors" sock drive is a program originated by one of our student volunteers and coordinated by the ValleyPalooza Organization with cooperating businesses and of course our dedicated volunteers. This program encourages everyone to have one small priority during the holiday season and that is to bring holiday cheer with a new "fun" pair of socks to warm the hearts and cover the cold feet of our elderly residents.    The "Socks for Seniors" program will be an annual collection program that runs from December 1st through December 20th every year and benefits those living alone and in our local nursing homes.

Don't forget to purchase a pair of fun, funky, uplifting socks this holiday season drop them off at one of our participating busineses this holiday season

 In 2011, 257 pairs of socks were collected.

2012 collections were over 300

Our goal in 2013 is to deliver 350 to our elderly residents.

Would your business like to participate in 2013? 
We are looking for additional busineses that would like to participate in the 2013 Socks for Seniors Program.  There is no work on your part. We will drop off the collection boxes on November 16th and pick them  back up on Saturday, December 14th.  We just need them placed in an area visible to the public.  It's a great way to help the elderly within your community for during the holidays.
